Advisory Board Items

Representatives to the Advisory Board of the American Academy of Dermatology are representatives between individual societies and the Academy.  Vivek Iyengar, MD, serves as the Primary AAD Advisory Board Representative, with Jessica Sheehan, MD, serving as the Alternate Representative.  Currently, there are about 60 state, regional and local dermatological societies represented on the Board.  Through the resolution process at the AAD Advisory Board, representatives contribute to the formulation of Academy policy positions, identify trends affecting dermatology, and help develop and support advocacy efforts.
